Wheel woolies
This may be the start of a pretty anal thread and I'm certainly no c*ckpolisher. However, a recent post on car cleaning reminded me of something I recently bought for cleaning my wheels. A friend recommended getting a set of wheel woolies, and at £35 they are not cheap and I was pretty sceptical. However, they are really easy to use, do a great job and are super quick....beforehand wheels just used to takes ages and be a right pain!
Here they are...and no they're not for dusting indoors

Yep not cheap but the best things for cleaning the inside rim of the wheels, no metal so no damage to your alloys, you can also get angled ones which are great for cleaning the back of the spokes.

This is right up my street. One of the the most obvious 'hard-to-put-your-finger-on' things that can make a well kept, well polished car look sub-par are poorly kept wheels.
I used to use the JML wheel brush but when the rubber nipple got snagged and pulled off the top it turned it into a alloy scratching death skewer. These wheels woolies look the business, anyone have a recomendation for a supplier? PB are pretty local to me so I usually go there first, you know, support the local economy etc. |

They are excellent, I use all of them TBH. I need the small one for the close spokes on my BMW 'luxury' wheels, the middle one on the winters and the large one on my Boxster 20" rims, it easily reaches the full width to clean the inside of the rims.

Cleaning 403's is still a pain in the ass with these as the gaps at the bottom of the spokes is so small!
They are good though...

Heard very good things about Sonax, apparently ph neutral or something, so won't degrade the wheel finish over time
As others got mine from Polished Bliss, they came out cheapest when I was buying. Might be worth someone speaking to them about a group buy....recall they did one for us years ago when we ran Hampshire Subaru.
