Rules of the forum (commandments)

My observations since joining

Thou shalt....

1. Introduce yourself and add your car (optional full car history) in your signature
2. Run every potential purchasing position past the forum. No exceptions.
3. Before ordering post your desired spec, and accept a minimum 10% additional premium through extra options you didn't know you needed
4. After ordering update the forum at least every 3 days with your order status
5. Post a diary of your collection 'adventure' including pics from the dealer, your collection, and once home.
6. Get the car detailed, invest in full supplies for two bucket wash technique, and make subsequent posts about how easy it is to now clean
8. Make an 'initial impressions' post, and a follow up 'post run in / now the car has loosened up' post
9. Achieve at least degree level man maths certification within 3 months of joining
10. Know the difference between grilles and grills, brakes and breaks

Anything I've missed??

Ah. I've failed on number of these.

Peer pressure suggests I should get it detailed but I'll do that myself today. Why wouldn't you use 2 buckets, clay then autoglym life shine.

11. Not argue whether manual or auto is better.
12. Use search option to find answer for your problems, if not found, then post a thread.
13. Not make fun of 20/28i owners, they are people too.
14. Not put M badges on a non-M car, M435i does not exist.
15. Post a update about what mods are going on the car.

16. Not be tempted by the spinning brushes of doom or the express hand car wash even if your car is caked in bird shit. Path to the dark-side is this.

Here's a few more :

16. Start, or contribute to, a new thread every couple of weeks debating why 3 litre cars aren't delivering 75mpg average.
17. Tyres : could be a sub-Forum in its own right : summer/winter; RFT or not.

It's a great Forum. If we didn't have the variety of cars, owners and topics it would be a pretty boring place to visit.

18. Believe ones own opinion and actual facts are one and the same thing.
19. Be sure that because you think it's the right car/decision/modification for yourself, that it must be the right one for everyone else.

18. Not engage in relentless discussions over x drive or s drive.
19. Not mock the x drive owners over our prestigious ground clearance. It is our birth right to look down on those not blessed with so many drive shafts or a transfer box.

20. Remember not to mock 20i drivers, it is inherently wrong to mock the afflicted.
20a - don't use long words as 20i drivers struggle with anything over five characters.

You are spot on there. But BMW don't build a 991 'R' or GT3 RS. So for me for now I stand by my post
