7 Seats
Hello guys. Hopefully one or some of you can help me.
The boss wanted a new family run around as his kids are getting older. His previous family car was/is a X3M. He asked me to get him a X5M with 7 seats. Only problem is that for some reason BMW have very recently stopped offering 7 seats as an option . They don't offer 7 seats on the XM either. You can only get the 7 seat option on the 30d/40d. Needless to say, he does not want a DERV. I found a few lightly used X5M's with 7 seats but my accounts department tell me the car must be brand new. We have previously had a SQ7 and he does not want one which kind of leaves me back to the drawing board. Which "powerful" 7 seat vehicles would you look at? TIA |

Query the accounts department on why brand new is a requirement. It does matter to low emissions stuff but can’t see why for an X5M.

I didn't think x5m ever had a 7seat option. As mentioned 7 seat performance options GLS 63/ Bentley bentayga/range rover p530v8

Tell him you listened to his requirements.... powerful, more than 5 seats, fast, good around town to run kids around and decided only one option so you have ordered...
Model X plaid, sorted. Might mean you have to work less at bank hols going forward! |

Yes, it's no go for a family car and the 7 seater option really isn't great for leg room in the 3rd row. If they usable 3rd row in an EV I think the Kia 9 comes in 7 seater, ID Buzz, and EQB.
6 seater version of the Kia 9 looks great for space inside, but it's a heafty price tag for a Kia. EQB looks nice too (on the inside). |

The kia ev9 could on paper do what the ix and x7 do and then a 320d as a standby car. Must resist temptation. Broke. |
