no updates since last June? Longtran mentioned that all bumpers are the same and therefore different fog cover should fit on any lines.

Updates would be appreciated

It is a direct fit but it's not a "pop off". You unscrew the backing behind the bumper and the whole fog light trim piece (including whisker) will come off.

Here's a picture of my Sport Line bumper with the trim piece removed. You can see the dirty line where the trim piece covered the vent.

Fog cover will fit any lines Sport, Luxury or Modern,
but not sure about basic line.

Is there another way to remove the front fog grill without going behind the bumper? On another thread, he mentions that its just a pull off. No mention of going behind the bumper and unscrewing.

You can pull off the whiskers. But you can't simply pull off the entire black trim. It is held together with screws. Think of it as a sandwich held together with screws and the bumper is the meat.

I "guess" you can pull it off if you pulled hard enough and ripped the bumper to pieces.

Are all the trims held with screws? I would like to replace my current trim with sport fog cover.

This is what I want to do.

I went to the dealer today to inquire if it was possible and they said it was. In fact they did it to few customers already.

So the sport line fog cover is compatible on the base model bumper. Not sure what some of you are saying that it does on not fit on base bumper but maybe its different in Canada. The base 328 has the same bumper as a 320. What he was saying is that all bumpers are the same except of different grill/fog light covers.

Was quoted $95 for parts alone and another $100 to install since they have to remove the bumper to install it.

Found the parts cheaper at getbmwparts at around $60.

What about fitting luxury line trims on a SE? I already ordered the parts and i'll just see how and what. The fog light covers looks to be the same, it will be perfect if the chrome fog trims would just pop in. The chrome in the centre i can pop it or otheriwse some 3m tape would do the trick.
