Which Magazine 2012 Car Survey - 3 Series wins
Here in the UK there's a consumer magazine called Which? that reviews just about any object or service you can buy.
Anyway in their 2012 Car Survey they have concluded that in the 'Large Car' sector, the new F30 3 Series is the Best Buy (fine handling, performance and refinement plus class-leading fuel efficiency). So, everyone give yourself a pat on the back for being such canny buyers Incidentally, in the Used Car section the 2005-2011 3 Series came top too, and in the 'Best Car Brands' BMW came 4th out of 29. Better not give too much else away or I'll have them hounding me for copyright

Don't know the mag, but have to agree. BMW have done a pretty good job with the f30. Not many cars provide comfort, performance, and economy all in one package. There's generally a compromise in one area over another. In many respects, BMW are leading the market here.

That's exactly what I thought when reading the OP's post. Not the OP's fault. What was 'Which?' thinking?
What would they classify a 760LI as? The F30's a mid sized car now.

For the US, not at all. Bigger than the E90, absolutely. But about the same size as a Mercedes C300, not large at all when you look at how big all cars have gotten.... |

To give an idea of how the magazine has grouped cars:
Medium - Mercedes B Class - BMW 1 Series - Volkswagen Golf and Jetta - Seat Leon - Ford Focus - Honda Civic Large - BMW 3 Series - Ford Mondeo (which I think equates to the Ford Fusion in the US?) - Mercedes C Class - Volkswagen Passat - Toyota Avensis / Prius - Volvo S60 Luxury - BMW 5 Series (Sedan and GT) - Audi A5 and Audi A8 - Mercedes E Class, CLS, S CLass - Honda Legend
