Audible player for iPhone on iDrive

Hey folks.

Does anyone know how to get Audible player through the iDrive thingy? I've got tonnes of audio books I listen to but only my iTunes collection seems to be visible

Also, does anyone know how to randomise a playlist? I don't want to start on the same song every time I select a 100 song playlist

Cheers folks,

I listen to Audible all the time. When you plug in your iphone, press the media button. That will launch music from your iphone. You have to manually open the Audible app from your iphone and press play. The audible app will then play and the music will stop. You will not be able to fast forward or stop audible from idrive. You need to do it on the iphone. At least that's how I do it.

I can't use the phone when it's in the cradle One thing I have noticed is that if Audible is playing on my phone, or was the last thing playing, then it'll pick up from where it left off when I get in the car when I get in by just going to media - well actually by doing nothing most of the time: it just starts playing when I switch on and plug in It's a bit ham-fisted and I have no idea how to get back to it if I play some music but it's a start. Apparently, there will be proper Audible support with a future iDrive software release I read that on here somewhere

I use the 'Bookmark' app through Bluetooth and that seems to work just fine. If you were listening to an audiobook when you turned off your car, it will start playing again where you left off. You can then start the app and pause/bookmark/etc as needed, it will not interrupt the audio.
