I definitely wouldn't sell the 325 and then buy a "beater" Honda. What's the point of that when you'd be taking the risk of getting a car with problems? You already know what condition the 325 is in, you've paid to have it well-maintained, and you'll only get $4,500 for it (according to KBB). If I did sell it, I'd set the $4,500 aside to fund future repairs to the 335i, not put it towards a "beater" car.
Besides, if you keep the 325i you have a "spare" car that you can drive if/when the 335i needs to be in the shop for repairs or maintenance, and the 325i is a car you like to drive. I say keep it, and continue to keep it well-maintained. |

I had a similar situation but my daughter just got her license so I kept the older car for her to drive. In your case you have a couple of years and by then your car is that much older and more prone to issues especially if it was not driven regularly during that period.
