On further reflection you were/are correct. Plus I think you get better brakes on the 335xi, right?

I have not officially agreed to the additional plans yet but probably going to go with the extended warrenty offered. Picking her up on Friday at 4pm.
I asked because I am thinking of purchasing a 2015 328i gt; it sits at 49k miles and I'll quickly hit the 50k warranty limit after purchase. The dealership (non-bmw) is offering a 4 year/ 60k bumper to bumper warranty but I'm uncertain if this is a solid deal. The price for the additional bumper to bumper warranty is $1,800 and this is in the Midwest. Anyone have any thoughts?

$1800 for 4 years/60k is reasonable, I bet a third party policy is more than that. My only concern would be his level of expertise in repairing BMW should it come to that. Where the mechanical parts are concerned a car is a car, but BMW electronics are a different story.

I went with a 6 year/100k BMW dealer warrenty that was quite significantly more than you paid. On reflection that seems dumb as sh$t given my CPO warrenty will take me to approx the same miles you are now but I had heard you need to get the warrenty set up before the original 4 year/50k ends.

The only other comment I had heard is that BMW dealers do not like dealing with some of these 3rd party plans as they often will not pay the labor rate charged by the dealer. If you have a non BMW service option then you are probably fine.

So as mentioned before I am in the UK visiting my family. My Dad and I ordered a taxi to get us to the local golf club - we told them we needed to get 2 golf bags and a trolley in. A BMW 5 series wagon (estate) turned up. Great, plenty of room right? Nope. We had to pull out clubs to fit everything in. The GT has way more usable room than the 5 series wagon. I was shocked but also happy!

So here are (finally) some photos of the car. Sorry about the reflections on the side view. I’ll stick these in the photo thread as well
