F30 M-Performance Brakes color code?

Does anyone know what the color-codes are for the M-Performance brakes? It's hard to color match by just knowing they're "red", "orange", and "yellow."

The M-Sport brakes are Monte Carlo for sure as I was corrected in thinking they were Estoril.

what annoys me the most with the m-performance calipers and factory m calipers is that on one side you have an m and the other side you have a w. i don't know why bmw did this. i tried to order both sides the same and i was told they sold that way and cannot break up the kits to have matching sides. pretty dumb imo.

Order two kits and I'll take the W's off your hands no charge.

indeed i am... i have a strange attention to automotive detail. in an ideal world no logos or badges would be best but second place would be matching.

They are all M specific colors. The red is Imola and the yellow is Phoenix. I think you are correct on the orange, not 100% sure on that one.

Phoenix is no longer an M color or in production. It is part of the Individual option. The current yellow is Austin Yellow. The only color close to the current "red" is Sakhir Orange Metallic which the caliper definitely is not.

All true statements, but the M Performance brake colors are Imola Red, Phoenix yellow, and the exact name for the orange escapes me. They are all colors that were specific to M cars at one time or another and has nothing to do with the colors that BMW is offering on the M cars today (the individual program not withstanding). The only reason I know this is that we added the Imola red brakes to my wife's 335. We had a conversation about the color names with a dealer that had caliper of each color in the case to look at. We were considering the Phoenix yellow until we saw it in person. No slams there, just not for us.... I probably would have gone for the orange, but she loves the Imola and it's her car.

I've been down the rabbit hole matching the yellow ones: they're definitely Phoenix.

Not sure what you are finding out. The information that I was sharing came from the parts department at BMW of El Cajon and was provided to someone asking the details of colors. No, I was not able to provide paint codes, but names go a long way to getting the codes.

That is all....

Thanks for the good information. Absolutely, with the color name, finding out the color code would be a breeze.

Do you happen to recall if the orange was in fact Fire Orange (as previously mentioned) from the Lime Rock Edition E92 M3?

Seems like the general consensus, and through your confirmation:

Blue = Monte Carlo
Red = Imola Red
Yellow = Phoenix Yellow
Orange = Fire Orange (?)

Great thread to have for the future when anyone needs to search for the colors.

there are three versions of Imola so even that is not accurate and in the parts catalog it does not indicate which color it is by name. it simply states "red". i asked the parts department as well because i didn't want an off color but when i put the caliper next to both of my vehicles it was a closer match to melbourne than imola.

No problem. I have no idea what the name of the blue is for the M Sport brake option, that was't available when we were buying. As to the orange, fire orange (the same as the Lime Rock Edition E92 M3) sounds right to both me and my wife, but I would not swear to it being correct.

Sorry I could not be more definite on the the blue and orange.

I am not sure why your parts department said any color name because it does not indicate in the parts catalog a specific color name or code. I contacted BMWNA directly and just got off the phone with them. They confirmed exactly what my parts department stated and that is that the colors are only indicated as "Red, Orange & Yellow". I saw all three in person and compared the Red against my own Imola & Melbourne vehicles.

Feel free to contact them to confirm:
