Just search "bimmercode" in the DIY/CODING section of threads. Everything you need to know is in there. I also watched a lot of youtube vids. Essentially you need bimmercode, an obd bluetooth/wifi dongle and that's about it. It's easy if you stay out of expert mode. Even for us BMW newbies. I even coded 2TB (sport transmission) with it.

Made my first mods to the car. Ordered black kidney grills but they still aren't here. Monday for that. I'm kinda digging the silver now though because I did get my car back from the shop today. Removed the front plate holder and painted the silver whisker trim jet black to match the body. Stoked! Now I'm undecided on the black m sport grills. Guess I'll decide when they get here.

Yeah I think you did. After I posted this I realized I did post this on another thread. You wouldn't happen to know what style/type those wheels are would you?

Nope but I did make a thread once that had a website with every bmw oem wheel ever. In the thread search "every bmw oem wheel" and it should pop up. There are hundreds though. Mine are 397's.

Thanks. I always like to know these things in case I need to replace them. Had a VW GTI once, hit a pothole and blew out my tire. The worst of it was it bent the sh*t out of the wheel. I had to find out what style they were so I could track one down.

Thanks. Yeah I just looked at a closeup of my wheels and then looked at all of them. I think they are 407's.
