HUD Issue- Resolved (Cause was Delta Serra)

Just encounter an apparent intermittent issue with the HUD on my 2013 335i. When i started it this morning, the display was barely visible and out of focus (could double images of the letters). Also the normal viewing angle from the drivers seat appeared to be all screwed up. From different angles you could see the display or part of the display (also had the radio stations being display to test), but was always dim to very dim and distorted.

Playing with the HUD brightness and positioning control did not fix the issue. They functioned normally.

I shutdown/restarted the car several times with no change. After the 4th or 5th time, display returned to normal. I HATE intermittent issues!!!!!

Anyone else experience something like this.

Update: issue was "DS" by human. I had unknowingly switched to my Polarized sunglasses! Took them off, switched to my non-polarized = All GOOD!!

And, of course, I just went out of factory warranty.
is it extremely hot where you car?
my neighbors M5 has this issue every time he parks his car with this front facing the sun in the summer. When he gets back inside the HUD is all messed up but when it cools down after a while it works fine again.

Definitely not heat-related. Happened again this morning. Worked fine initially, but about 1.5 hrs later it reverted the the same issue as yesterday.

My issue with HUD is that it doesn't show the tach or the gear.

Good luck OP.

I don't mind not having the tach info, but it would be nice to show current gear!
