Exclamation F30 3-series Striptease Begins to Reveal Angel Eyes, Tailights, and Other Details!

BIMMERPOST NEWS
Most Revealing F30 3-series Yet - LED angel eyes and Tail Lights and Other Details
91
COMMENTS

We bring you the most revealing photos yet of the upcoming 2012 3-series (F30)! Until now, the F30 has been fully cladded with little showing other than its general lines, shape, stance, and proportions.

The strip tease has now commenced with part of the headlights now visible - showing beautiful LED angel eyes and a wrap around sweeping headlight design. The tail lights have now also been partially unveiled, showing a wrap around design featuring upsweeping light bars, LED indicators, and regular brake lights.

The production rear bumper has now also been installed (albeit with camouflage tape affixed). Previous spy photos showed a heavily clad rear bumper with little indication of its styling.

In the close-up photo of the front-end, the grille can also be seen hiding behind the black metal mesh (look closely!)

Compared to the E90 3-series, the F30 features a longer wheelbase, but shorter overhangs, for a sporty squat look, as apparent in these photos. It will also have wider and lower kidney grilles (which can be somewhat seen in the closeup photo).

The F30 3-series sedan will make its world public debut at the 2012 Geneva Autoshow in March of 2012. Official F30 pics and details should be released by late this year. The F32 coupe will be unveiled a year later in 2013.

Otherwise it looks promising.

Cant wait! Will probably get the 2013 version though just to make sure all fixes are made (if any)... Keeping the 2007 e90 until then! It's gonna be hard to let go though!

+1 I don't want a smaller 5 series. I want a 3 series. It's supposed to be different.

The back end looks very close to the current sedan. The tail lights seem to be like the new 5 series as well.

I think the sedan is going to have tail lights which look very close tot he 5 series and the coupe will have a smaller, resized style of the current 7 series tails.

I personally hope the taillights on the coupe are horizontal and long again. More like the new 6 series.

Those are fake. BMW never uses LED's in the it's mirrors.

I just noticed, If my eyes are not playing tricks on me, the rear end has more of a bangle but than ever before. If you look at the 7th pic down, the taillight is very rounded off compared to the trunk

OEM LED angel eyes looks great.

But I really don't like the reflectors on the rear bumper like the F10.

I'm liking the widened offsets in the rear... The car seems beefier than the current e90.

Maybe we won't need spacers this time around...
