Replacing side air vents BMW F32

Hello!

I want to do a DIY with replacing the side air vents from my four series coupe.
They are now matched to the paint and prefer the black glossy one. I have orderd them on ebay.

Is there someone willing to check for me in ISTA what the procedure is for replacing the vents? Or did someone else already did this DIY and can tell me what to do.

Any help is much appreciated!

Had you used the search before...?

Thats beyond from simple and done within 15 minutes.

Refer to this site for detailed view of the part.

Assuming that you are not familiar with German:

- Protect the painted surface above of the circled 1 at the top picture.
- Pry out the breather outta their 2 pin holes
- use a heatsource to ease the removal of the breather from the glue strips. Those had to be changed and couldnt be reused.
- clean the surface, replace broken insert clips
- reapply the breather and press gently to make the glue strips steady adhesive

Dont forget pictures

Yes i did google a lot. Only not in German. Thank you for the link and the translation. Much appreciated. The vents are one the way from a country far far away. So it can take a while. I'll add pictures to the DIY

Thanks again!
