3/3 Car completed and released to carrier (Same exact build date as my last order)
3/7 At the port waiting for vessel

SA build and doing PCD so looking at early May delivery. Maybe late April if I get on a boat quickly. Going on vacation out of the country for a week tomorrow so hopefully when I get back its on a ship.

Just ordered the F30 340i xDrive 6-speed.

Order placed: 4/6
Production start: 4/9 (I think I got lucky... purchased just as my dealer's slot was coming up)
Production end: 4/18 (scheduled).

Have been checking shipping schedules and am hoping that mine gets on the Wallenius TIGER departing Bremerhaven on the 22nd. Assuming they drop it in Tacoma, that'll be a May 23rd port date.

The anticipation is KILLING me.

UPDATE: 4/19 - Vehicle is being transported to Bremerhaven. Keeping my fingers crossed that it'll get on a ship this week.

UPDATE: 4/25 - Car did indeed make it onto the TIGER and is set for delivery to Port Hueneme on 5/20! So exciting!

UPDATE: 5/24 - Scheduled for pickup on Friday 5/27. So all told, almost 8 weeks from order to delivery. Not too bad, although has seemed like an eternity. The only downside is that I've ALWAYS ahead of my CA throughout the process. You would think they'd be ON this, especially since I haven't signed on the dotted line yet. And BMW online could do a much better job of involving its customers in the process and providing updates. Current TRACK MY BMW status has reverted from IN TRANSIT to AT PORT AWAITING SHIPPING VESSEL. That's obviously not true. It's 2016. There are ways to make this much better.

UPDATE: 5/27 - Finally picked her up yesterday and she's all that and more. Holy crap. All I want to do is drive. Anyway, total time from order placement to delivery, a very long 7 weeks and 1 day. But it was worth it.

P.S. For those of you on the west coast tracking from Port Hueneme to the PNW, United Road Services was my carrier and they have a nice little website where you can track the delivery of the car to the dealer by the VIN. I actually knew my car was there before my CA did and was on the phone as soon as the dealership signed for it, asking when it was going to be ready. :-)

Anything is possible. I'm honestly a little surprised at how there can be so little awareness of these types of issues at BMW. When I took delivery my CA said he still hadn't heard of this happening to anyone. I live in Chicago though and everyone here gets an xdrive.
