Regular 8AT vs Sport 8AT w/shift paddles

What's the difference between the stock and sport transmission? On the website it lists, 8-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Transmission Control; Steering wheel-mounted shift paddles.

The 328i already comes with a 8AT, although it's listed as a feature for the sport transmission on the website. I guess it's $500 more for the ATC and paddle shifters? Is the ATC worth it?

I think so. The paddles and faster shifting software is a good value for $500

I'd say it's worth it unless you don't think you will use the paddles. Or if you will end up coding your BMW because then you could just code in the faster shifting program.

Pretty sure ATC is built in both Auto and Sport Auto.

It's the best $500 you can spend on the car in my opinion.

Paddles are definitely worth it. I use them all the time.
