Car Built - Shipment tracking?

Mate each day goes by seemed to have put me further away from mine!! It started as the 31st March, then 7th April, then 14th April!

Car was built on 12th March! This wait is killing! I wish car was NOT built so early, could have added a couple of options in the mean time!

I feel your pain, I have a reg number, insurance, vin number but no car.

Dealer says system states 7th April but that it wont be that long and thinks by end of week. But car still has status at port of entry and still has to go to Thorne and then out to dealer. Can see 7th being optimistic at moment

My dealer desperately wanted to register it by 31st March for target purposes, however they said they CANNOT register a car unless it's physically in the UK, (regardless of location)

So the good news on your side is your car is definitely in the UK hence why it's registered

My car was build 8th feb and handover is tomorrow,

It's hard to tell what the delays are, I think some dealers have priority over others when it come to deliveries.

Why have cars that were built AFTER mine been shipped to the UK already?!

Tim your case is an absolute pis$ take however did bmw sort out compensation? Or a good will guesture for your delay ?

I feel for you Tim, and there's me moaning that mine was built 2 weeks after yours!!
Like I said I need my car by April 7th so if I don't get it by then, I'll be asking for a car to tide me over until it arrives!!

I've watched some video twice, sometimes on my iPad then on Apple tv on the big screen, I tried convincing myself I had not seen some videos.

They've asked me what would ease my pain. I've suggested a driving experience for me and my wife, and an i8/6/Z4 whilst we wait.

Waiting to hear back from them.

One complication is that it's a company car so they'll need approval from my work, there are potential BIK implications and anti-bribery stuff to worry about. We'll see.

Getting a new car for the wife this year and it'll either be a BMW i3 or a Mercedes A220 - much depends on how they handle my complaint!

System says eta of 9th April

but hoping that includes a chunk for dealer turnaround of car.
