Exhaust tips

Hi all,

Seen different style exhaust tips on a few pictures on here. I was just wondering where I can get this style exhaust tip from or is it all part of the M performance exhaust system? I'm hoping to just fit those tips in place of my current ones.

Please see image.

I don't know where those tips are from. The M-Performance exhaust tips aren't like that.

That's strange, I've definitely seen them elsewhere. They must be BMW tips as they have the M badge on them.

They are BMW tips, but they aren't the ///M engraved tips from the M-Performance exhaust. These are the tips from the ///M exhaust:

As you can see, the interior wall of the exhaust tip is different (..akin to the E46 M3's tips). Maybe the tips you posted are from an ///M exhaust not designed for the F30. They almost look resonated as well.

For which car? Or is it tips only (..which I've heard BMW offers)?

edit:

It looks like an ///M Performance exhaust or aforementioned tips for the 320/328 (..based on the bumper pictured and other google images).

They redesigned the tips for some reason on the m permance exhaust. I think I read due to old style being bent during shipping.

So are we able to just buy the tips themselves or would I need the full performance exhaust system?

This clarified it. It's the M exhaust for the 328. The 335i version has the other tip.

Bro...You're like my best friend. He has had about 8,485,845 BMWs in the last 10 years and I swear he swaps out parts every three days!

LOL! Are you poking at me???

The M-Performance exhaust was part of an "M-Performance brake and exhaust package deal" that I got for about $2700 installed. I never wanted the exhaust, but the deal necessitated that I buy both........so I did. I sold the exhaust to avantix and only had the brakes installed.

Yeah, and you have a 328i, so you get the nice new tips. I have yet to see an exhaust on/for the 335i with the same redesigned tips as what comes with the 328i M-Performance exhaust.

LOL. Not at all. I remember reading a post where you mentioned multiple BMWs that you have had. Then, I thought you bought the MPE, installed it and then sold it! My friend has had a 330 coupe, 3 335 coupes, an S4, a 2011 335 sedan and now an X6 since 2004 (all loaded). He modded every one, rims, suspensions, exhausts, coils, etc. I am giving you props!

Ahhhhh, okay! Thanks man!

The only BMW I ever "kinda" regret modding was the 2013 X5 that I had for 5 months. Even though it sold quickly, I had to strip all of the mods (..and I invested a lot of time doing the X5M front conversion only to have to remove it when I sold it), and that was a pain in the ass. I lost a bit of money on that mod venture, so I'm reigning myself in on the 335i because I know I'll have another M3 is 2 years time.

The upcoming M3 looks badarse. I plan on paying this off in four years, waiting a year, then buying a weekend car (while keeping this as my DD). I have two more mods on the 335 and I am done: (i) musicarnw speaker upgrade and (ii) PPK. Then again, I received my first ticket in 14-15 years on a recent road trip, so maybe PPK is a bad idea...

I think the Bilsteins will be my last and final mod to the 335i. Okay, okay....and maybe a BMS Stage 2/MPPK/Dinan tune. I'm really done after that.

That too, but I'm hoping that will be a Christmas present from the lady friend.
