Did you consider awe or Remus axleback? I am trying to decide between one or the other to pair with a downpipe .

How much noise and what kind of noise is a very personal preference.

I have an MPE and a Fabspeed high flow cat downpipe and it sounds awesome.
Actually I think it's a little too loud at times.

As for Remus, I think they make quality products and I had one on my old e30 and it sounded really nice.
Awe sounds awesome but to me it drones; I couldn't live with that.
Either one of these exhausts paired with a downpipe is going to be loud.

I think it's amusing when I hear people getting excited about aggressive burble options on flash tunes. I personally would pay for my car not to make such noises.

In my experience some axlebacks do drone.
The Awe I heard definitely had a drone around 2600-3000 rpm. Perhaps someone else wouldn't notice it but it was very pronounced to me.
(This was axleback only).
But, one mans drone is another man's, "sounds great!"

I think midpipe deletes always drone. I heard one of the muffler delete set ups (it was very expensive) and I don't know how the driver could stand it, but of course he loved it!
Or at least he said he did after spending all that money.

So am still in the market and looking for my exhaust, just wondering how easy is it to put the stock exhaust back on, in case i run into warranty issues. If i cut the pipe to put remus, will i be able to put my stock one back ? Using the same clamp or something?
