I'm not sure how lease deals look at the beginning of a new model year.

It's probably not worth waiting for, but considering it was a $2k add-on, I think I am going to explore options with BMW. It's frustrating when my car hasn't even left Germany yet plus the configuration screens showed the new iDrive when I built/ordered it

At this point, I would rather just have my order without the Nav and just wash my hands of all the superfluous tech anyway.

Typically you need to wait until the holiday sales event (November-ish) before the first really strong rates and programs come out.

all things considered, the big win here is option 2NH in the US. saves you a lot of money from the ///M PBK. Besides what would you do with the stock rotors/caliper set (sell it??)?

Is there any room for negotiating an option credit or something? At this point am in the position to cancel the order while it's in transit. Surely it would be in their best interest to try and compensate with an option credit? I hate to be that guy, but it is a frustrating position to be in.
It cannot be cancelled... When you are doing EURO delivery you have to sign a bunch of papers before the car gets into production.

Oh well, it is not like the car is going to change it's body style neither the new GPS will have a different map interface neither will drive for you to your destination.

It sucks... But would be worst we did not have any GPS at all.

Live and learn... Do not order any BMW for the fist two years of his new body style, it happened with 2007 and 2008 335i and now is happening again.

Why BMW? why>>>>??????!!!

The lease on the 2014 should not be that bad. BMW is starting to be more competative anymore.

Did you pay a deposit? The dealer may be willing to exchange this vehicle for a 2014 model year vehicle as long as your current vehicle is not configured to be too whacky( that is going to be tougher for them to sell). Be prepared to lose some money since the dealer will not likely give you a great deal of a brand new 2014 model. If the deposit is not too much, you could also threaten to call off the deal (though imho they cannot hold your deposit if you cancel). Do some research and go prepared. There is no harm in trying.

I've just put down a $500 deposit so far. I don't care enough about the new Nav to wait for a 2014, but I feel kind of jipped paying ~$2100 for the older system.

Either way, I'm buying the car because it's a car, not a laptop. You bring up a good point though, 2014 deals will not be nearly as good, plus BMW is buying out my last 4 months of my lease and waiving new tires on my turn in. There is no way all of that is worth a fiddly new iDrive knob.

Looks like there's no price increase on the 320i. That's a good thing.

The 6WB is an option for the entire LCI F10 line.

Not in the US.

You can only get F10's optional 6WA configuration over here. While that is still more "digital" than the extended version currently available on the F30, the all digital 6WB is something totally different.

Introduction of the 6WB for the US was expected for the LCI F10 - but that didn't happen. Same applies to the LCI of the F07.

You're welcome!

Yeah, that was a huge surprise to many of us - and not a positive one. I'm really wondering what the reason could be. Perhaps some sort of liability issue? Who knows...

The official pictures tricked many of us and after going over the order/pricing guides, I aws reminded that the "official pictures" were taken in Germany/Europe..

BMW has sold their soul to the leasing gods. They enjoy tons and tons of unit volume made possible by their astoundingly good lease programs. Now that they have started doing that, and have seen the results, they can never stop.

Month to month, BMW lease deals get a little better and a little worse, but count on them to stay very much in the game. And they almost always get stupid good in November and December.

Meanwhile, apart from the [relatively small] enthusiast community, a new model year is no big deal and most prospective buyers don't care.

True. Updated iDrive is nice but at the end of the day we're buying the ultimate driving machine. Get an iPad/Android tablet if you want the ultimate portable Nav system. Either are WAY better than the new iDrive and its Touchpad (and likely better than whatever BMW/Harman is working on to replace NBT).

In a perfect world, BMW would get out of the entertainment electronics business and just give us a cleverly designed iPad dock (or Android) on the dash. Either would be better than NBT and likely what's coming after NBT (thanks Harman/Becker). Mount the iDrive controller and connect it to the Lightning Connector (or via BT) and write an app to control the tablet. Case closed.

Only issue would be tablet theft. Maybe allow coding of the tablet to the car so its rendered useless if removed. When an updated tablet is released BMW can charge to code the new tablet to the car.... Just a thought that would need to be expanded upon through engineering. I'm quite sure a "Locked" tablet can be made for BMW. I'd be OK with that.

More than likely LCI will be MY16. Could be an early release MY16. This is due to MY12 being short. Pressure from competition will be the ultimate deciding factor.
