Something on wheels?

Took my car to get washed yesterday at local BMW dealership and when I got it back my wheels just looked wet still. Well a day later they have the same look but it doesn't wipe away with soap and water.

Any ideas?

I can't imagine they were that hot. Parked in garage and drove maybe 10 min to dealership on an 80 degree day.

its probably a cheap ass tire shine.
Use a simple green or dawn dishwashing soap to take it off.

That is one of the reason why i leave a note at 32 Font "DO NOT WASH TEH CAR" when i go for service.

Good Luck!

Forgestar e-mailed me back and apparently the dealership used an acidic wheel wash and ruined them. This is going to be fun tomorrow when I go to the dealership.

I would almost rather just go ahead and ruin the rest of them and live with the darker color if it was going to have to come out of my pocket to fix.

Sorry to hear that it failed bro.

I would strongly recommend Plasti Dipping it which gives it a Matte black look which is peelable. you can find this at your local Home Depot for 6 bucks a can

I'm curious as if they maybe used a degreaser of sorts to clean my calipers.. and in turn got it all over my wheels

The dealership didn't say exactly what is was or caused it but they took full responsibility and are going to give me a loaner and have them refinished on June 10th. Great experience with Advantage BMW Clear Lake in Texas. So relieved!!!
