18" Snow wheels don't clear M Sport brakes

Hi all,

I've had 18x8.5 et35 Square setup VMR V710 as snow wheels on my past E46 330Ci ZHP and E90 Msport 335, shod with Bridgestone Blizzaks. Shame on me for assuming that since they were 18" they would clear my M Sport brakes on my 2014 335 M Sport, because they dont!!!!

Rears fit perfectly. In the front, the calipers scrape the inner barrel of the wheel. I literally need like 1-2mm of clearance.

This is a real kick in the nuts as the tires are in good shape.

I see having three options:

1. Buy a set of all season or snow 19" to go on my 19" option stock wheels
2. Find a set of 18" wheels that will clear.
3. Third option that I'm not thinking about that you guys might have

Cost is a concern, especially since I have money invested in a good set of wheels/snows already.

Thoughts on what to do?

Thanks

Just throw on a set of 5 or 10mm spacers. Usually the further towards the rear of the wheel, the more space you'll have.

Since you said inner barrel and not spokes, spacers aren't going to help you. If that's the case, that sucks any only option would be another set of 18" wheels to be able to run the tires. Maybe a used set of OEMs or some BBS SRs. I have them and clear the brakes.

I think they may help. Most wheels are larger inside closer to the back.

Thanks
I had the same concerns for my winter setup.
I'm now using the original 400M wheels with 225/45 R18 front and 255/40 R18 rear. They work fine with the M Perfomance Brake Setup.

It is a fact, that not all 18" wheels fit on those Brakes. Which is more a problem finding a good looking Winter Setup, as most use 19" or 20" Setup in summer.

19" for winter is something I will also look at. I don't have to drive a lot in heavy snow condtitions anyway. And 19" would definitely look nicer.

Go with 18" wheels that fit. I went with 18's for my winter set and they fit fine. Riva MX7 CSL reps. Light too. 21.5lbs.

Just find someone selling their OEM ones. Typically there are several for sell in the forums and the M sport factory wheel looks pretty good.

I'm leaning towards getting a new set of 18's. My Blizzaks are in good shape, so I think thats a logical idea

A few options I've found:

OEM 18s from the sport line
Apex PS7s as posted above (thanks simarddominic)
Replika R141A
Riva MX7
OEM Concepts RW-343
Alzor 030 M3 Reps

Apex are obviously the nicest, but as mentioned before, cost is a significant consideration (wife is not happy that I have to buy another set of wheels).

Have the alzor 030 m3 reps on my 2014 335i with M Sport Brakes and couldn't be happier. $480 shipped for the wheels to my door can't be beat. And it came two days after I ordered!
