Need help purchasing tires.

Hey all, just wanted to say hi to everyone in this community. I'm a first time BMW owner so I'm just looking for an answer with regards to purchasing a set of tires.

Currently I'm running on stock 18's that are 225/50 R17.
I'm interested in purchasing a set of tires from someone but it comes from an older 3 series and its the BMW 96 style rims with the tire specs as 225/45/17. I just want to know if these will fit on the 4 series and if there will be any issues at ALL?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

you're running stock 18's and the tire is 225/50 17? that doesnt make sense......that means you've got a 17inch tire on an 18 inch rim

No problems there. It should fit fine. It's actually good to let the wheels and tires slip a bit to put less stress on the drivetrain.

Hey sorry man, I meant to say that the tires I'm looking to buy comes with the rims. So the rim/tire itself are 17 inch. I was just listing my stock specs and because I'll be going one inch lower. Was just seeing if it ll fit for one and if it'll have issues second. Thanks man!

Oops sorry everyone. My stocks are in fact 17s and now 18s. That was my honest mistake. But I was advised not to get the tires in question
