I understand that there will be no manual transmission available for U.S. market diesel F30s. Well, that's that for me, then.

Any climates with cooler temperatures sell appropriate additives in diesel fuel to prevent gelling.

There are roughly six BILLION diesel pickup trucks here in Alberta, along with an endless supply of heavy equipment and oilfield equipment that run on diesel. We don't have any problems running them all winter long, no matter how cold it gets.

I'm waiting for a 330d M Sport. It should be right between 328i and 335i in terms HP and Torque and Price.

I was in Leduc for work not long ago and I was amazed at all the giant pickups people had. They were EVERYWHERE. Never seen anything like it, even in the USA.

Yep, it's crazy. Big, lifted, tuned diesels as far as the eye can see. Lots of oilfield money being spent on toys for boys.

I'd think it's probably a very safe bet that there are more diesel pickups per capita in Alberta than anywhere else on earth, and probably by a wide margin.

People would go nuts if they found out we let our diesel trucks run all night long when it's -30 to -40 C outside...
