I took mine in recently for a bunch of warranty issues. The blower fan sounding like a 747 at take off when AC is set to max. speed is apparently normal operation. Normal operation that wasn't evident 18 months ago in any capacity. Mmmm.
It's on the list for the next warranty service, again. |

Re-opening this thread again. I've got a December 2012 F31 and with the first hot day today, I hit the Max A/C button to cool the car and my dog down.
The fan sounded like an old motorcycle as others have described.. Horrific! I've had a few problems with this car including headlight condensation which my warranty providing is hesitating on as it needs a replacement headlight. I'll see how I fare with this one but it cannot be normal. We're not buying crappy Soviet Block Trabants!!!! |

Waaaay late to the party, but I found this thread while researching my heater/cooler blower suddenly vibrating like it was going to blow up this morning. I watched a video on how to replace it on youtube, and decided to take it out and see if I could find the problem. Well i did....about half a pound of cigarette butts in the blower fan. Took them out, put it all back together and now it purrs like a kitten.
I would upload pictures but it seems I can't. Anyway...here is the link to the youtube.. |

REHASH!
Seems that mine is having the same problem. When the fan is on "high" I get a loud noise and it only mellows out when the fan turns down automatically. The car is going into the shop in two weeks to get disintegrating door seals replaced (anyone have this)? 2012 F30 328i Sedan I'll have them check it out as well. |

Sorry to open this topic back (again)
When my car starts up I have no sound from the blower and or air vents. But after a while I can hear the engine sound coming form the airvent/blower. Any help on that? |
