Jesus, am I the only person that thinks the flat front end looks good? The E90's front end is too fat and round. The E92's is even borderline feminine and could use a little more masculinity.

I'm surprised that this is the F30 sedan. They've given it a much more sporty profile. The C-pillar is much faster. It almost looks like an E92 with four doors.

^Most BMW enthusiasts would love the transition back to vertical nose. As someone mentioned, think Aston Martin, Maserati to name a few.

If anyone likes the front end design of E89 Z4 then this is it.

F30 vs E89 front nose profile:

The interior/dash view shouldn't tell anyone much. It may in fact have the slanted 1er-looking dash in the final product, but the one in testing will have the contoured cloth covering the dash, except for buttons, screen, and vent.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems its the same size as the previous E39 5 series. I think bmw is trying to make the 1 series the new 3 series and the 3 series the new 5 series judging from the sizes of the cars. Now they have every size available

Well that's just a natural progression. Just about any car model you trace over decades has had the same transformation.

I am waiting for a 1er sedan to pop out, that might be an appealing car.

Shouldn't they be driving the car in the snow if they want to test it for winter?

I must be seeing the same things that you do. When first looked at the pics, I thought it was a coupe. I also rather like the squaring theme we've been seeing in the upcoming 5 series...indeed, I like the 2011 5er a lot...maybe enough to trade in my 3er - but not likely as I'm generally the type to keep a car, particularly my 3er as it is my "daily driver," until it dies or until I don't need a daily driver.

My concern with this 3er is the rear light assembly...that protruding thing I'm seeing is not looking so good to my eyes. In contrast, I like the recessed headlight design.

The flat front is a requirement of new EU pedestrian safety laws. Bye bye front bumpers.
