Purchase agreement question

Anyone happen to have a copy of their purchase agreement with incentives spelled out? I'm having a pricing issue with my CA and would like to see if there are any examples of this. He claims that BMW never lists incentives in their purchase agreements...

Thanks!

Well depends. The order form itself doesn't have a section to list incentives, but it can be hand written in. I'm getting an incentive for financing through a particular bank, so the dealer listed the price on the order form as after rebate, but hand wrote in "based on executive preference program" to show the reflection of the incentive in the price.

If it's a non-monetary incentive (i.e free accessories or additions) then make sure you have it somewhere or other in writing before signing the purchase order.

Where would they go if not on the purchase agreement? Let's say you've agreed on a negotiated price of $50k, not including $2k of incentives which will bring your final price down to $48k. Does he expect to list $50k as the purchase price? That doesn't seem right to me, although I didn't have any incentives when I purchased so I can't say for sure.

As Enerji said, if you don't see the credit on the Purchase Order then the PP must be reduced accordingly. There's no magic to the numbers. Don't be scammed.

I just purchase on Saturday. The incentive fell under the down payment section. It was labeled "manufacture rebate" and added to my total down payment. The purchase priced stayed the same.

My guy totaled everything and then wrote in by hand "Drive event" and subtracted $1000 from the total, all shown on the invoice.

Greetings from a dealer...

There are certain disclosed and undiscosable incentives. Most rebates should always be disclosed. In our purchase orders in Illinois, you have MSRP, Selling price, then any applicable rebates. In the case of Loyalty or Holiday cash, those should be disclosed and clearly stated on the purchase agreement or bill of sale.

The only thing I can think of is if the tax laws are different where you live, in Illinois , manufacturer rebates are taxed so they are always disclosed on the agreement. But What he says about "BMW incentives are never disclosed" is not true.
