It's great to hear everyone is doing awesome for themselves.

Just turned 26, I have a masters degree in geophysics and have been working for a oil service company for a couple of years. Good bucks.

Just turned 32. Went to North Penn High School in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Moved to Plano, Texas for college. Finished both BBA and MBA from University of Texas at Dallas. Currently, I am a Sr. Business Analyst with Verizon. I have worked with Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, VRM and Franklin American as a business analyst.

I custom ordered my F30 335i. Estoril blue with Dakota red interior. Love it.

Heh, it'd be funny if you guys were in the same unit back then...stranger things have happened. I ran into people I hadn't seen in 8 years from my hometown when I was in Kuwait and Iraq. Had no clue they'd even signed up, I'm standing in the chow line squinting like hey....that guy looks kinda familiar...walk over, see the name tape, "Hey man! Long time no see!" lol

I'm a 29 year old software engineer. My first BMW was a 2012 328i (almost no options), but last year I traded for a 2014 328i almost totally maxed out.

34 years old, Systems Engineer.. Basically IT/server engineer stuff. After driving boy racer cars for years (370z, Evo X, WRX, STi, etc.) and previously owning a E90 '08 335i that I loved.. Decided to get back into a BMW.. Far less neck-breaking from people in this car but at least it's quick.

In Animation where I work, you're seeing more and more outsourcing every year and we talk about how everything will be done in Asia soon… Add to that the number of cities and countries courting productions with tax credits, and a willingness for studios to buy films already produced independently, rather than use the studio system (except for the 7 or 8 mega budget pictures each year) and you see people giving up the industry and moving away.

The few that stick with it are increasingly flying all over the country/world and living out of hotels for months at a time to make a grip or lighting assistants salary. It's not easy...
Yeah. The entertainment industry isn't for the faint of heart. It chews up and spits out many people and sends many hopefuls back to whatever landlocked burg (no offense to those who live in such places) they came from, full of optimism and dreams. What they don't realize is that they are better off failing here and going home. Better off living somewhere where it doesn't cost $600000 to buy a 2 bedroom 1 bath fixer upper in a crappy neighborhood. Better to not get completely jaded and cynical about things that once seemed magical to you.

But again, it has it's perks. Again - finance, law, medicine, engineering... anything but this, kids.
