So the next generation M3 (only coupe version confirmed at this point) will be called an M4?!?!?! Why abandon the iconic M3 name in an lame attempt to try and move it more upscale and charge more for it.

Blasphemy!!

the back looks like an infinity.. (something) j30? I can't remember....

wow. I'm glad I have a 335d on order. I really don't like it from these angles.

why bigger? is the 1 series getting bigger?

I'm confused..if the 4 series is the new 3 series coupe, then what will the next M3 be called? It's already been said that there will be no M3 sedan. Clearly the next M3 will not be called the M4. So...?

Yippee.

So far, it seems kind of big and bland. Looking forward to more images, better images, and a look at the interior.

Hmm. Seem to have lost a post, somehow. I'll put it here, I guess.

I don't buy a 3 series for image and (large) luxury. I buy it for the driving experience. What happened to performance, and form following function?

If I wanted a classy executive car, with a touch of sport, I'd buy a Benz, or a larger BMW, or any number of cars. The 3-series is supposed to be for drivers who know better, and want more than "a touch of sport."

IMHO.

Hmm, I'm defininitely not feeling the look of this one compared to the current e9x. Looks kind of boring and not nearly as aggressive, IMO.

TX78666 - I agree with you.
From this pictures I might stay with E92 for a longer period.
The 3- series should be sporty in driving and looking also.
The trunk seems to me only maybe a bit smaller than I would have liked.
I hope when I will see it for real my opinion will change.
The E90 also E60, they where more ''bold'', dare to challenge the design and I like them.
