Navigation now standard on all 328i and 335i's???
Did anyone check the BMW.ca site lately?
Not sure since when this happened but the 2014 328i and 335i models all have navigation as standard equipment now and the premium package is now only $3000. Damn, those of us who got the 2012 and 2013s must feel ripped off now since they're putting more incentives on the 3 Series so people don't go all in on the 2's and 4's.

damn...that's a sweet addition
makes the 320i more expensive if you match the options of the 328i I do think factory incentives will drop though. they are really trying to push volume to do this though. no regrets, but wow, the difference between my 2013 left over (delivered Jan 2, 2014) isn't looking like such a good deal compared to a newer 2014 now. I think it's to put some incentives on the 3 Series so that not everyone will go straight to the 2 and 4 series since they are pretty similar in pricing.
It's kind of interesting, if you check the M235i, it doesn't even get the basic iDrive screen as standard equipment and they went back to the radio head unit underneath the climate control. I'm surprised they did this for a 2014 model because for all other 2014+ models, you usually get the basic iDrive screen without nav.

Given when you load it up similar to a 2013, the MSRP still comes up between $500-1000 more, though that gap is made up with the Head-up Display, the Heated Steering Wheel, XM Radio and the FRONT portion of PDC which wasn't available for 328s before (four options my car doesn't have compared to the 2014 in those packages). And of course the NBT Navi vs CIC.
But in general I feel slightly ripped off anyways, makes me want to upgrade already! |

The premium package now also gives you Sirius XM, front PDC and Heated Steering wheel as standard options which isn't bad. I spent a lot to get my 2012 F30 to 2014 spec with the NBT retrofit with touch controller and BMW Apps. Now I'm wondering if I should've just leased a new one instead

Yeah some of us paid the price for being early F30 purchasers.
I love my car, but would have lost it if BMW Canada had added M-sport option to the 328s. I'm hoping they do by the time my lease is up or else I'm gonna do the conversion to my luxline. |

Is this correct
Does anyone know for sure if the navigation is in fact standard on Canadian 2014 328i?
I know the online configurator shows it as standard, but my dealer sent me a VIN for my car (delivery next week) and VIN decoder does not list the navigation option. I can see options: SVBA || CCC Zusteuerung || CCC allocation S6WAA || Instrumentenkombi mit erweitertem Umfang || Instrument cluster, expanded equipment This last option is listed twice, actually. I've contacted BMW Canada, but am still waiting for reply from them. |

What's the build date? If it was built before 03/14, chances are it won't have it.
I've seen MY2014 Canadian vehicles built January this year and they don't have nav. |

The build date is January 2014.
I've got a reply from BMW Canada, here is the most relevant part: " Vehicles that were produced in early 2014 do not have navigation as a standard feature, as navigation was a part of the Premium package at that time. Our records indicate that your vehicle was produced during the timeframe when navigation was not a standard feature. " |

I remember reading somewhere that 2014's with production in early summer 2014 started getting this.
it wouldn't surprise me to see the heads up display move over from the executive package into the premium. |
