Last chance to order 2018 340i?

I'm thinking about ordering a 2018 340i. What is the latest date one can be ordered before they stop production? I don't want first year or two of G20. Let someone else work out the bugs.

F30 end of production is in October 2018. You'll probably want to order 2 months before to make sure you get yours in.

Thank you! I'm also hoping to order one of the last f30 340i's, and came here specifically to ask this question. This buys me another month or two, as I was planning to order in May thinking that July was the end of the run.

There are a few things that I don't like about the G20 based on what I have read and seen, so I want to get an order in to keep myself in a somewhat traditional 3-series as long as possible. Here are my gripes:

Major
1) It's going to be much bigger.
2) It most likely will not have a 6MT option in the US.

Minor
3) They are going to a digital cluster, so no analog gauges.
4) White interior lighting versus the traditional orange.
5) No more stratified air temperature adjustment (red-blue slider for the center vents). I use mine all the time, so that's a bummer.

I do not know how you can confirm the removal of orange lighting.

Also, you can control the temperate via idrive that hits your face. It's in the menu now, just not analog. My gf's 2018 X3 is set up that way. (Someone people will never figure out or use.

RE: the lighting, it's already gone in the LCI 2er.

RE: the air, I really don't want to have to drill down through a menu system in iDrive to adjust something that I've always done without taking my eyes off of the road in about one second. I absolutely hate how useful analog controls are getting buried in menu systems. I want to drive a real car, not play Gran Turismo.

I would kill to be able to buy an e46 M3 new again, these new cars just aren't the BMWs that I fell in love with

I put an order in back in December and still have no allocation number. Ordered through Jimmy and David here. No looking good.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. They’re still building them in Munich…

I ordered a 340i xDrive sedan at the end of January and it went into production this week.

That’s crazy... please enlighten us on the reason for the delay. This has me worried as I just put in a order for a RWD 6MT 340i. Thx...

Update: Received my allocation/production code yesterday. Phew!!! Now the wait begins.. Needless to say I'm stoked!

No answers yet. I do have the track package and non runflats added so, that may be the issue. The production in South Africa shit down a month ago so the German line may be tied up with other model options.

End of production is 100% October, I'm not sure when the last orders will be taken though. I'm a Genius at a dealership and I just checked the Production Guide.

Delays in allocations has to be because the SA plant stopped 3 series production.

Is BMW still taking orders for F30s today? I was told by my dealer that F30s can no longer be ordered.

I just ordered a 340i 6-Spd M-Sport on May 3, was told it would be built in Munich as SA Plant has stopped production of the current generation 3. 6-8 Weeks Order to delivery. October 2018 current generation 3 stops production in Munich is what I was told by my BMW Center
