That does sound great.

I wish my N55 with MPE sounded anywhere that good.

Seriously considering buying one to replace my current winter vehicle. Unless you are a shameless badge whore you have to respect what Toyota has done here. I don't care that much about how my winter vehicle looks, it's going to be covered in salt etc most of the time anyway. Toyota is offering a lot of technology and renowned quality for a great price.

Beyond the "respect what they've done done here", because other than selling a shit ton, I don't know what to really respect.

On the badge part, I honestly had no idea, until a couple years ago, that their logo was 3 ovals. I realize their Japanese...but seem to always see a Mexican in a sombrero.

I really like the new camay's looks. If that was in my budget range and I needed a new sedan I would definitely get that over a comparable accord.

I'd never modify such a car though.

Regarding getting lost in a parking lot? That argument never stuck with me as getting seen in a parking lot isn't always a good thing.

I see you drive a bicycle in your profile lol. Was going to say if you can afford a bimmer this is in your budget range. Camrys don't top $35k fully loaded. As this model becomes more common everyone will have one so it may become more boring looking despite the attempts at setting itself apart lol. I once actually forgot where I parked at work, looking back instead of relying on the weak chirp I could have activated the horn from the app. For some reason you can't from the keyfob as the panic button on the F30 sounds off a weak sounding alarm chime lol. Was told coding could make this louder though I doubt as loud as the horn.

I don't own a BMW - doubt I ever will... My plan has shifted to the arena where BMW doesn't have a car that fills that specific void in my life.

I did see a white M2 recently that looked amazing. I just doubt I will ever want an M2. Not enough boxes get checked

Not necessarily. Plenty of people drive used BMWs and cannot afford a brand new camry.

Some people drive used BMWs and are actually (relatively) wealthy - they drive less car than they can actually afford.

Some people drive new BMWs and can't afford them at all. These people often circumvent this problem by leasing and ironically end up paying more money over the long term.

My old boss was wealthy, could have driven anything south of a Veyron, but drives a 2001 M3 that he has had since new that still looks right off the showroom floor.

Doesn't sound as good as that Camry though.

There is really little wrong with the new Camry. It's a lot of car for the money, but it's not generally likely by enthusiasts, real ones or wannabes....Lots of folks are brand snobs, and wouldn't consider driving a Camry (not the old ones, the newer ones). My wife has a 2012 Camry SE V6 which we have had since new. Driven it on several long trips, and there is little to complain about - lots of power, comfortable, and dead on reliable.
If I don't buy my 340i out of the lease next year, I would consider the Camry XSE V6.

Only thing wrong is it's front wheel drive. If they came out with an all wheel drive version like the ford fusion that would be awesome.

You could start with them (and other Japanese manufacturers) embracing W Edwards Deming's statistical approach to quality, which made Japanese products the standard of the world and forced everyone else to play catchup. Whatever you drive today, if it was made after 1980 or so, is far more reliable because of what the Japanese and Deming did.

The Taco folks like to turn them into bull (or devil) horns.
