PA4 fitment
Hey guys, I'm interested in the PA4 but apparently Michelin decided not to import the correct size tires for the F30.... They exist in Europe but not in the US. How weird...
OEM: Front -> 225/45-18 Rear -> 255/40-18 PA4: Front -> 225/40-18 Rear -> 255/35-18 Will this work anyway? I might get a little different odometer reading, but what else am I giving up on if I run the above size? Thank you |

What rims are you throwing them on? Tirerack ran 245/40-18 square on their f30 test cars and that's what I'm doing as well. Why not just do that?

Will those work on the OEM staggered 400M setup? 18x8 front and 18x8.5 rear. From my research it looks like these tires are designed for a rim of 8.5'', but with a range 8-9.5''. Accordingly, fit is perfect for the rear and just slightly squeezed for the front. But then again, as I look at OEM tires, BMW also squeezes/stretches the OEM tires by up to 0.5''.... Interesting.

I'm not sure about 8". The rears should be okay. Not sure about the fronts. I think my rims are 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. Easiest thing to do is just ask the vendor. If you're ordering from tire rack, talk with their rep. If it's from some local store talk with them and see.

I went with: F: 235/45/18 0.3" taller R: 245/45/18 0.6" taller I think that in the winter, you want to run something at least the same if not slightly taller sidewall so you can deal with the potholes a bit better. I could probably get away with this because mine is RWD instead of xDrive. |

245 wide tyre on an 8" rim is fine. Its std fitment for RWD staggered F22

Those are the sizes for the E9x cars. They will work, but be a bit stiffer and put the speedo even more off - at lease 5 mph fast.
