Thanks, I'm going to pick up the h&r 10/13mm I reckon. 12/15 looks a little too stuck out (at least from all the American pics).
All the US pics I found had very much lowered suspension which does make the spacers look excessive. I went by d4springers pics on here.

Roughly 420 bhp and well over 620 lb ft - let me tell you won't be getting anywhere near the these figures.

What was it before the remap? - they probably didn't tell you that.

Dpf on modern diesels esp bmw are not as restrictive as they used to be, you'd be lucky to get 10 bhp at the fly!

Does a remap cause any damage to engine and how much do people normally pay to remap the car?

Was reading this thread about the dyno results the somehow it ventured into cruise control etc.
I have speed limit display and active cruise but don't have lane departure, can this be coded? Obviously won't get the vibrating wheel and red hazard symbol on the side mirrors.

Thanks

Between ~405-420bhp at the flywheel depending on typical drivetrain loss (~18-20%, probably closer to 20%) and 660-680 lb/ft of torque - sounds like a VERY over generous dyno, I don't believe a remap on the 35/40d engine alone gets above ~390bhp at the flywheel from what I've seen, and as others have noted the dpf delete won't be having much impact. There is almost no benefit to doing it on modern BMW diesels, only potential headaches in future...

The remap shouldn't put any strain on the engine as long it isn't an aggressive map!

Around £500 mate

Thanks. I just rang up DMS Automotive, and quoted me £750 including VAT and 3 years warranty. I think it is a bit expensive.

There's some very high figures banded about for the x35d, i think the sweet spot is 375BHP and around 515lb if you could by ZF figures, if you add a factor of 10% 570ish. Some don't do a before and after figure or fudge them.

I assume that this warranty doesn't actually cover any potential damage, just putting the map back on if it gets wiped?

DMS dont offer any warranty so to speak except on the the remap unless something has changed in the last 2 weeks. They will also re install as many times as needed over a 3 year period.

I think that's probably what they meant. Software can be removed before the car is taken back to dealership for service for example.

Also spoke to Regal Autosport, £599 including VAT. 150 ft.lb torque and 86 bhp will be increased.

Not sure which one to choose, please let me know if you guys have any experience with these companies.

Think i've commented in another thread at some point about the differences in dyno set-ups... Although I don't even pretend to understand the maths for setting up the dyno, I believe It's easy to inflate/deflate readings to make the tuner look good...
When mine was mapped, however the dyno was set up (which Paul tends to do conservatively so not to over-inflate) my stock figure was 294hp & 440 lb/ft. So showing well under BMW's quoted figures. Post-map readings of 364hp & 570 lb/ft - same dyno, same day, same settings.
From the OP's stock figures as quoted, I really don't believe that dyno produced a true representation.
So it really does depend how the dyno has been set up. I daresay on someone else's dyno, power on mine would show more than on my graph. Regardless, end result is savage!
