Just purchased 2019 F36 with staggered 19" wheels (704m) and performance summer ties. Living in Colorado means I'll need a set of winter tires. Just wondering what everyone recommends for snow tires with this setup? I'd assume going with square set is preferred but I would really prefer to not have to purchase new wheels. Any thoughts/suggestions?

just put a square set 235/40/19 on the staggered wheels. it'll fit on both 8" and 8.5". TR has these...pirelli winter sottozero serie III or michelin pilot alpin pa4 n-spec OR oem size 225/40, 255/35 pirelli winter sottozero 3 runflat

or whatever winter/snow tires you find in these sizes elsewhere.

Thanks for the response. How much traction/winter performance would I give up by doing the staggered tire setup with the same tires you mention?

tbh, idk. i'm in balmy hawaii. we get snow up on mauna kea sometimes. haha.

from what i've read it's preferable to run narrower tires to cut through snow but some other philosophies are that the snow tires are so good that wider is still ok

it's better to let peeps with actual experience answer.

So I have xDrive so I'm assuming that coupled with either of the snow tire setups would be much better than slapping all weather tires on there and just riding with them all year once my summer tires wear out?

I'm leasing the car so just rolling with all-seasons is another option I was considering and saving the summer tires for when I return it.

i notice the winter/snow is quite pricey in 19", so if you have the room to store,. it may be cheaper to buy a used oem 18x8 square set or 18x8 +35ish $150/per wheel with 225/45/18 snow/winter.

from what i've read, dedicated snow is always better than all season with winter capability. the conti dws06 has good ratings in light snow, though. if you are going that route.

I have the OEM size pirelli runflats.
And they work perfectly in the scandinavian vinter weather.
Can recommend them:-)

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll probably go this route if I can find them for a decent price. I have 4+ months before I have to worry about it so I'll keep an eye out for deals.
