The Individual program for the FXX 3/4 EASILY beats what was offered with the E9X, where none of the options made it look more expensive or more premium than a standard spec'd model.

If you think individual options are an investment or are meant to increase the residual value of your car, then you are missing the point entirely. If anything, an individual option has the potential to turn more people away from buying your car if you go with very unique options and colors. |

Individual or modding is for you the owner and not for gtg/forum props. You drive the car, you live with the car and it is yours for 4-10 years. Personally, I don't care about resale. Own a car so long it isn't worth anything at the end. If looking for a used car, As a car guy I would look for a mod free but Individual model.

I see a "BMW Individual" 'tag' on both the steering wheel and the seats. Is there some sort of emblem somewhere on the outside of the car if one selects a unique paint color?
Are these "tags" cool or tacky? Last edited by baw; 01-30-2014 at 11:13 AM.. |

The previous owner had his/her three initials embroidered, in a relatively large, contrasting front size, high up on the seat backs. The initials did not match those my ex-father-in-law and he just left it that way. |

I was actually thinking about this yesterday as I washed my new Sapphire Black Metallic 435i and started remembering how IMPOSSIBLE it is to get a black car perfectly clean.
I would have strongly considered paying more $$ to special order the Dark Graphite Metallic or Singapore Grey that some of the higher-end cars came in. The MG they offered didn't quite do it for me. Oh well…. |

Individual badge on the steering wheel???? Really. Very lame. BMW has repositioned this car. Its getting into Cayman territory pricewise. Its a Grand Touring car now.

My folks have a f10 with a white interior and my 5 year has to take her shoes off when she gets in.
In my car (coral red) she tried but it is impossible to avoid the foot marks on the back of the front seats nor shoe prints in the seats. Don't want to live in fear of your own interior nor would I want my kid. Individual interiors are best for climates that don't have snow, salt and slush. |
