I have the Sport Automatic Transmission + M PPK.
Just as I was about to type my initial impressions of the tune (now that I've put about 200 miles on the car since having it installed), I saw your post. So instead of rambling on with my general thoughts about the tune, I figure I would just start to field questions.

Does it sound any different w/ stock exhaust? Do the shifts points change or is it just tied to the upgraded throttle response? Was it worth the $$ |

2) Does your exhaust have the same burble as the MT review? 3) How does it affect the comfort mode compared to sport mode now? 4) Is it worth $1k? |

Good stuff. Thanks for all the info. The video was great. Hoping to have this soon once my car is back and actually fixed.

I have the exhaust and sport 8at as well and I'm really looking forward to the install. So the extra power is immediately noticeable? How about sport gauges? Thanks

You are most welcome! Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Prior to having the BMW tune installed, my expectations were very reasonable. I did not expect the M PPK to perform similarly to my old Dinan Stage 2-equipped E90s (384 hp and 421 lb-ft crank numbers). However, as I mentioned previously, my expectations were exceeded. After 5+ years of driving two different 335i sedans with the Dinan Stage 2 software, I was definitely missing the additional power in my non-tuned, recently departed F30. The BMW M Performance Power Kit has delivered, in my opinion. Although the advertised crank numbers for the BMW tune are more conservative than the advertised crank numbers for the Dinan Stage 2 software on the E90, the two tunes feel similar enough to me - as far as my butt dyno is concerned.

Like I said above, I haven't really even thrashed the car yet with the tune, as I'm still in the break-in. The sport gauges have changed. The units on the display are in kW/Nm though . . . Is there any way to change the units without resorting to coding?

Since we both have AT, I look forward to your review. Are you going to post a video so we can hear it?

No problem! And that's interesting. I'm quite certain my old F30 displayed hp and tq . . .

the dealer can recode that for you or anyone that does coding...should take 10 minutes or less. BMW messed up with quality control and overlooked many cars at VPC and didn't switch some cars to appropriate settings.

I have the update for the hp/tq but still doesn't show. Apparently the user mode needs to be deleted and then restarted.

Glad to finally have more from the AT crowd. As ybbizz said, Comfort mode is now a "real mode"! This is even so for manual with less torque.
And passing on the highway is amazing. You can fit into much tighter "pockets" for passing, and quickly will hit triple digits if you're not careful. 5th gear on the highway is a rocket. Im at around 350 miles now and it gets better with each drive cycle.
