20 psi! Looking for feedback on my map 6 setup
I recently dialed my JB4 map 6 boost up to 20psi on stock turbos with the configuration pictured. Running 5.5 gallons ethanol. My logs look ok, I'm not pegging at 50 for fuel trims. My specs include:
-2012 F30 335i N55 motor (8 speed Auto) -Enzo tuning tune -JB4 with flex fuel connectors -ER sport catted downpipe -Upgraded Chargepipe -Wagner Intercooler -M Performance Exhaust -K&N intake filter -5.5 gallons ethanol on board -N20 +2 colder spark plugs My questions are: 1. Does my log look ok? (it was a 4th gear pull) 2. Can I safely move up to 22psi? Last edited by lazyninja87; 02-17-2018 at 09:34 AM.. |

"Stock turbos"? N55 engine only has one turbo with dual inlet scrolls. Aside from that, what are your oil and inlet air temps looking like with that much boost? Is your meth set to spray at WOT only or is it triggered by boost level (I'm not familiar with what the 0-3 settings represent).

You only have 20psi on 500rmp, why would you want to raise it? Stock turbo is pushing to much as it is now. Also try a better boost curve instead of boosting up, after 5000rmp will drop to like 12psi.

I don't understand what you're trying to say. You mention that I only have 20psi at 5000rpm which implies it could potentially be set higher. But then you ask "why would you want to raise it?" in the next sentence. Im confused

Hopefully you aren't playing with these settings without closely looking at the logs, especially if you are trying to push things to the limit. Mike |

I said 20psi on 500rpm not at 5000rpm.

Log looks really bad! You have MASSIVE throttle closure and your trims max out. Car is definitely not happy.

I agree. Your trims appear to max out. post a log to n54tech like others have suggested, make sure you post the actual csv file as we can’t even see FF or PWM on your log. Twenty psi is certainly pushing it on a stock n55 turbo.
