I read in another post that the boat was leaving 11/06 from SA. If WW is the only company transporting then for those of us that just finished production we are out of luck. Yesterday the 800 number said my car was being transported to port but today it says that it was released to carrier to transport to port. I was hoping mine was at the port already.

hope you got a german build
Yes its a German build. When I asked my CA if it was going to be German he responded as if there was no way in h*ll he would place the order for SA production. I guess because it takes an extra month for delivery, which he confirmed it does. Oh yea and no navigation pro, which was also confirmed by the CA after he attended some 4 hour training seminar. He was telling me that the new 3 series November productions would have the new nav up until that point. Oh well no worries here, because its all about the drive!

You guys make me super worried
I put in order 11/1
Still hasn't been put in production yet
Do you think I will get it by 1/2/2013 for extra $1k off?
Are the $1000 holiday savings only for buyers who are financing? No deals for cash buyers I assume?

It's worth noting that the BMWFS approval lapses after 60 days. So make sure your approval will not lapse before your delivery time frame. Your dealer simply has to re-submit before the programs expire.

Only applicable to BMWFS finance or lease. Cash buyers or folks financing through someone else get no love.

I'm going to have to pay for the car before it arrives, my 1,500 USAA credit will expire 1/2 and my 1,000 recent graduate for masters will expire 12/31....no way to lock those in

finance through BMWFS to get the credit then either pay it off with cash or refinance to wherever you want.

It takes 45 days from SA to CA(West Coast). Mine left at port from SA on 10/25 and it will be arrive at dealer on 12/17. If your car is not loaded on a boat yet, u might out of luck.

My car left port of SA on 10/25 with a boat name Dignity Ace. I think WW is not the only company transporting BMW from SA to U.S.

That is exactly what my CA and myself discussed today. I will remind him in a few weeks to make sure. Thanks for the advice.

They are - I'm a cash buyer, I'm just going to finance 10,000 for 24 months (the minimum amount allowed) to get the credits, then pay it off in month 3

The 3 months of 3.9% interest are far outweighed by the $1000 holiday cash and $750 bmw owner loyalty

Buyers qualify doe the $1000 if car delivered before 2013 right? I don't have the $750 loyalty cash add on so I'm not sure if your plan works for me. Nice angle though...

I just asked my CA and he said my rebates (recent grad + holiday cash) are confirmed for 90 days, even if production is delayed, so I'll be able to use those discount till end of February

Ordered mine 2 days ago, hoping for delivery by the years end....

Estoril
Black Letherette w/alluminum (hate it, I want to CF but too damn pricey, even for an employee...)
Manual
19's
Heated Seats

Performance Power Kit
M exhaust
Black Grills

Now I spend at least 4 of my 10 hours at work just staring at my configuration since I work for BMW, and I am somehow spending alot more time on boards.

My 328i xDrive German build is sitting at port waiting for a shipping vessel.

Sitting at home I have the aFe exhaust, intake, intake scoop and BMW piggyback!

Nice build, tailored towards the performance enthusiast. How much is PPK now for the average customer?

Oh yeah, this was exactly how I would want a car...good thing I dont have a wife or kids otherwise ide be in for it...

PPK MSRP is 1370 MSRP, there is a holiday special of %10 off, pricey nonetheless.

I get it a little cheaper and a good portion can be residualized for people leasing, so in end I think its a good option.

Have you considered the dynamic handling package? We ordered it because of the excellent reviews. Luckily my wife is all about performance also, uhh, that did not sound so good did it? This will be her car, my next car will be either a 435 or 235 in a couple of years as long as they will be available in a manual . Luckily, we both share our love of sporty, quick, and good handling cars with manual transmissions. Neither of us will own an automatic

I also sell Porsche and our owner races in the cayman series and all of the Porsche guys swear by double clutch/auto transmissions....I almost gave in but theres just nothing like a manual gear box to truely enjoy driving.

Yes the automatics have come a looooong way, but I dont need that technology, driving is suppose to be fun. I suspect flying 150mph in a P51 mustang was alot more enjoyable than going 800mph in a 747...

Did the boat travel upt to Germany? I asked my CA to see if he had an ETA as my car has finished production but he said no. He told me he has ordered before and it should get here in 2 weeks, I did mention the long wait periods other people experience with SA builds. I hate more the fact that BMWNA cannot confirm if ships from SA will be direct to US now that there is more production in SA.

it looks like some ships go from SA directly to Baltimore.
