H8 35W or H11 55W fog lamp?
Hey guys, I was about to purchase some foglights for my F30. I think the bulb size is H8 35w. I was thinking of changing them to xenon, but I kinda got tired of having xenons on foglights. I wanna go DTM, so my friend has a pair of H11 Piaa Plasta Ion yellow but they're 55w I believe. I know with xenons with 55w would met the foglight housing. Would the same thing happen if I put 55w Halogen bulbs instead of 35w?
Thanks in advice! |

Not too sure about melting anything, but no one would recommend running anything with a higher wattage on any harness without double checking the maximum power the harness can handle.

I would stick with the recommended output, the yellow with the 35W will already give you a great contrast and help you see better, so going for 55W might be overkill. If you really want it bright, don't just change the bulbs... go for a full HID conversion yellow and it will be even better!
