Advice on this deal for a 2015 335i.
Happy holidays, all. Thoughts on this:
My first new car purchase. (Irrelevant, really). Pretty loaded 2015 335i. MSport, tech, cold weather, premium packages. Harman Kardon. 19" wheels. Carbon fiber mirrors & spoiler (not my choosing, but nice touches!). Oyster and mineral gray! $59,530 MSRP. Trade 2007 328i. ~$4300 payoff. Offering $10,000. So getting $5,700. Taxes just under $2000 My last offer $49,000. Sales rep sounded ready to take it. About $54,800 after trade. 5 k off, adding tax brings that to about 7. I feel I should've pushed a bit farther down. Simple advice: Do not make a deal complicated. Take your trade in somewhere else, and focus on negotiating the car you are getting. The more complication means the more ways they can make $ out of your deal. As for the deal it self, I have seen dealers going as low as 12% off MSRP.

I just bought a 335 GT M-sport and got a little over 10% discount from MSRP, so seems like the price before trade isn't bad. Just seems you need to consider the trade in value - they likely have some flexibility there. Good luck.
