Is the MSD amount calculated before or after taxes?

for example if a monthly payment before taxes is 402 and after taxes its 452, is the security deposit amount 450 or 500?

does it just depend if you want to pay the taxes up front or not?

if you pay the tax up front then you dont incude it in your MSD amount calculation

In CA, tax is paid on the monthly payment.
