no, and you cant tint your front windows past 28%.
I hope OP doesnt get a fix it ticket. going that dark is just an invitation for a cop to stop you. And its cool if you have done it before and never been stop...still, its an invitation to be stopped.

sorry, just seems like a bad idea to me for a few reasons, visibility, tickets, etc... Seems like overkill and at least somewhat dangerous to me.
Also not sure I like the tint so dark against the blue, but that's just my opinion... then again, I haven't put after market tint on a car since I was in college, so maybe I'm not the best judge Last edited by chrisny; 09-07-2012 at 02:03 PM.. |

I have done all my cars this way. I have received two separate tickets but in Fl they cant force you to remove it..just pay $80 and move on.
I feel its safer for carjacking scenarios + for theft. If people cant see a purse or ipod then they wont smash my window for no reason.

Anyone leaving a purse or iPod visible is not very intelligent. I bet it keeps your car cool tho. My interior is hot as balls.

On my M3 i had 95% on the front. Not dark at all but still blocks all the heat and UV! I got stopped twice... both times by the same cop... who just so happens to be a forum member here needless to say, i didnt get the ticket... |

Don't understand why someone would tint this dark. It seriously impairs your ability to see things outside, especially at night. Don't know about others, but I drive my car hard and fast. And the only way that is done safely is by having perfect visibility.

If you look closely in one of the pictures, there is a cop in a white patrol car in the background waiting to pull him over, lol! I couldn't go that dark where I live but I can see the temptation to do so in FL.

Exactly. Seems to me it would be like wearing sunglasses at night... and feel like that even during the day.

nope he is my neighbor. You would be amazed how many cars have same tint here in FL..cops never gove it a second look.. out of the past 5 cars i have only been pulled twice for it.
And you do get used to the tint quickly and i hardly ever drive at night. I ride my bike with a blacked out shield daily also. Its not a problem.. and i actually didnt buy my F30 to drive hard.. its a nice car with great gas mileage and a joy to drive

I noticed the patrol car too...........you must have your interior lights off to drive at night because with the glare it has to be difficult to see out.
