Did I get a good deal? PLZ HELP! 2014 320i

Hey I'm new here and I just leased my 2014 320i black with Sportline option (M steering wheel, 18" wheels, sport suspension) power seats, black interior roof. Had only 8 miles when I got the car.

MSRP $35,970

Leased me the car at invoice $33,705

Money factor 0.0018 (Iam not sure if this is 100% how can I find out?)
Gross cap cost $33,705
Cap cost reduction $1,395.23
Adjusted cap cost $32,309.77
Residual value $22,661.10
Depreciation $9,648.67
Rent charge $3,562.25

36 month 12k a year Monthly payments exactly $400
Total Drive off $2,364

Did I get a good deal? I am worried that I got ripped hard...Please help.

I would say you got a good deal but not the best, then again if you shopped for the best deal you would never find a car since there will always be a better deal. If you are happy with the price and the car I say you have your answer. I myself got my 320i with Sports package, lighting package and sunroof for 375 per month. I cant remember exact numbers but I believe 1.3 money factor and 65% residual. The sale price was around 34,000. (Im leasing also)

Edit- I put 1,000 down which included first months payment.
10k miles per year.

Mmmm...I believe you got a better deal than I? So your total drive off was $1000(which is really good)? And your only paying $375 a month? Is that including tax or no?

Yes that's after tax. I bought it at Pacific BMW which is in or near LA area. It's a Mineral grey metallic with the options I mentioned in my post earlier. 1k down

You should have been able to do better on a 320i. Since there is a $500 option allowance, if you got invoice pricing it means you paid $500 over invoice. Sorry but that is not a good deal. In general it isn't a terrible lease because the residual is so high but for this car you should have been able to do much better. Oh and it looks like they jacked up your money factor too. Kind of a scummy move but dealers will try it if they think they can get away with it.

But I have to ask, why would you post this now? I'm not trying to be a jerk but there is really no point in asking how good or bad the deal is if you've already bought the car. You should ask that question before you sign the contract so that people in the know can tell you to walk or not. Not much you can do about it now... just enjoy your ride.

Surely when you signed for the deal you at least looked at it to see if you thought it was 'good' or reasonable, at least ?

If so, then stuff the fact that John Doe on an internet forum got a fractionally better deal (or claims to have done so), it's whether YOU are happy with your deal. You obviously were, or you wouldn't have put pen to paper

Mmkay. So it's not a terrible deal right? When I signed the contract I knew it wasn't the best deal, but I felt like it was just an average deal. And doesn't my credit score have something to do with the money factor? It was 696...

Across all people who walk in and buy a BMW yes I would say average. And on the FICO score front a quick search shows the bottom of the "normal tier" credit for BMWFS as 675 so you should have received the base money factor. If there is an adder it's the dealer taking advantage of BMWFS allowing a mark up of up to .0004.

Hope this makes you feel better: I have
- a friend who's paying 330 on an Accord lease (that's the base accord too: the LX)
- a friend who's paying 400 on a GTI lease
- a friends who's paying 350 on a Passat lease

I'd say you are doing better than these guys. None of their cars have RWD, sports suspension, turbo (except the GTI), and most importantly that special feeling of driving a BMW.

Yeah man, you could have gotten a much better deal. I just leased one through Steve Thomas (David)...

Mine is a 328i, some good options (msport/nav/hk/lighting/cf spoiler). Over 49k MSRP for like 435/month for a 3yr/10k lease, 0 down, about 1800 drive off.
I did do MSD, but still, something is off on your deal.

Can you give us the break down of your new lease. Appreciate it!

The 320i lease deal seems on the high side. For comparison, and perhaps I just got a great deal, but this was mine about 6-7 weeks ago:

2014 BMW 320i
MSRP $40,175
Adj Cap $35,790
Monthly $380 (CA tax included)
No Money Down
No MSDs
RV 65% MF .0013
Drive Off $1,500 ($380 first payment included)
36 Months, 10,000 Miles
- Glacier Silver $550
- Black Dakota Leather $1,450
- Premium Package $3,200
- Sport Package $1,300

I don't have all the numbers in front of me, but mine was something like:

'13 320i, 6MT, ZSP, sunroof, heated seats, enhanced BT
MSRP: ~$37k
Sales price: ~$32k
Drive off: ~$2500 (TTL/acq; tax is on full value of the car and had to be paid up front per VA)
12k/36mo
$330/mo
Money factor was the best offered, no MSDs, no money down, included ~$1k UDE or whatever it was.

Your money factor was bumped .0005 points (base is .0013 in April), or 40%. That's a lot.
