Is it possible to change the interior trim?

I would like to place an order for a 428i GC M-sport with coral red interior, but the configurator forces you to choose the aluminum trim on the dash and door handles. I personally prefer the high-gloss black trim that is available in Sportline. Since I don't have this option, I am thinking about placing the order with the aluminum trim and then hopefully swapping it with high-gloss black. Is this easily doable? Any idea about the cost?

You should ask your CA if the BLACK PIANO trim is available as individual option.
It will be a bit more $$$ but it will look very nice!!!
Good luck!!

You can easily remove all trim pieces. I just had mine off last week. There are walk throughs with pictures on this site for examples.

Even better, ask your CA if you can request the trim you want along with the M-Sport line. I'm honestly not sure if it is possible, but worth the try since it would save you time and money. I find it rather annoying that some of the color, trim, and other options are so limited by line, model, series, etc.

Of course it's possible. Check out the trims people are selling under member classifieds -> interior. There's also a detailed thread about how to change the trim in the DIY section.

But what I doubt is, whether 3 series and 4 series trims are interchangeable i.e can you put a 3 series trim on a 4 series car? The dash looks the same at a glance, but there could be subtle shape/size differences making them incompatible..

Of course, buying the car with the right trim will save you money if you can pull that off. But in some cases I believe it's not possible. For example you can't get anthracite wood with sportline.
