Its simply the best of the worse. All of these cars are pretty numb devoted to a different audience. Bmw is slowly but surely (fwd eps less investment in driving dynamics bar M models ) following the rest of the pack.

I bet that new Alfa sedan (Giuliani or whatever) will have good steering, when it's not on a lift at the dealer.

Funny that the first F30 330 test is from Australia. Can anyone confirm if the Australian 330i has the B48 or just a revised N20 engine?

I'm astounded that the base 100W sound system in the BMW was second best. This is half the power of the base system in US 3-series. Is the 100W system better than the US base? That would be hard to believe. What's equally hard to believe is that 2 cars had worse systems in the comparo.

Love the MBZ interior but the slightly spartan BMW interior more than suffices. Performance & efficiency trumps!

Edit: seeing MB.AU website they don't offer the C300 there so they should have compared it to the 320i.
In local car tests they're more likely to compare cars at similar price points. That said, press fleet availability can be an issue.

Just a Tweaked version of the old engine in the 330i

I am surprise how much they complained about that cheap feeling steering wheel, should have gotten a M-package with the M-wheels. Those are awesome
in my experience, the Lexus is e worst system out there, and I personally hate MB system

Does BMW change up the suspension tuning on US F30s because non US press always speak highly of the F30 chassis while the US press always laments for the E90 or even the E46.

While interesting, I can help but think their evaluations reveal their inability.

i sat in XE a few months back, it was one of my first choices to replace the 335. After sitting inside the vehicle, i was underwhelmed as i had read such stellar reviews of it. The interior was very dated and the trim panel gaps were surprisingly large. The v6 engine more than makes up for the lack of interior finesse though. So if one were to purchase a vehicle for interior comfort, this car should be on the back of your wish list.

Note: The New C class has an amazing cabin design.
