Can you wear a helmet on the road?

Not that I would but wouldn't it be hilarious to see someone driving down the road with a helmet, and/or get out of their car and fill up their car with a helmet on? Any road helmet action would be a sight to see! That sounds dirty I know

I was watching Nurburging videos and this thought just came to me. So bored at work today.

Yeah that would definitely register some weird looks from people. Safety first though!

Ive done it before as a joke in college. I borrowed my roommates motorcycle helmet and drove my lexus es300 around with my friends. For sure we got some "wtf are you doing" looks, especially driving that ship around.

Right on man! If I had a helmet I'd defintiely do it from time to time! What'd be even better is a full race suit!

That'd be cool as hell except only a very few people would get it! Most of the funny stuff I do is for my self anyways.

I want my GF to put the horse mask on while we cruise in the evenings/at night. Windows are tinted so at red lights, I want her to lower the passenger side window and to stare at the car to our right (with said horse mask).

I once wore a boba fett helmet for a good stretch or two while on a road trip with some friends. My co pilot wore a darth vader helmet.

Idk if that's cool or super lame.

We were toying with the idea of having a strobe light in the back seat for a creepier effect.

I'm exactly like this. And yeah, I've done it - didn't register as many looks as you'd think.

I have a set of helmets in the S2000 for when I do track days with the wife. I admit that we have put them on with the top down as a goof on more than one occasion. Kids trapped in minivans love it. To see those little one look away from whatever crap their parents have droning over the rear seat entertainment system and squeal with excitement as I ripped past at 9000rpm was priceless. Just doing my part to create the next generation of enthusiasts.

I saw a clown driving a BOSS 302 a few months ago.... He waved to me... Kind of scared me a little since it was just getting dark...

AFAIK in the UK it's not legal, but the US may be different. I understand the reason it's illegal is because it restricts visibility.

I saw a clown drive a mint e30 cabrio once. Traumatized me, to say the least because clowns are fucking evil.

I once wore a scarf around my head/face like this guy and drove around town with the windows down and some Arabic music blasting in the radio. Now it wouldn't matter in most places, but I live in Southwest Virginia, just a couples of miles away from the WV boarder so you can imagine how close minded people are over here... I got got so many stares and fingers pointed at me I thought I was going to get shot. Rural Mericuh...

In WA state (and in others I suspect) it would be illegal if it had headphones, or otherwise muffled your hearing: http://apps.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=46.37.480

Don't think restriction on vision would apply - Google Glass is illegal but hard to prove (similar to recent Calif. case that was in the news.)
