BMW 435i xDrive staggered wheels

Hello guys, I didnít know how to put the title to this thread, I hope I got your attention, I have a BMW 435i xDrive with M-Sport package, according to the factory my wheel sizes are:
Front: 225/40/19
Rear: 255/35/19
In my country thereís a lot of snow and thatís a reason I went with xDrive model, now is the time to buy new winter wheels, in my local shops I could not find the tires for the front, so I went with 235/40/19, but for the rear I found the right size, Is it bad for my xDrive system to put 235/40s instead of 225/40s in the front, the wheels are not just wider, they are also higher, does that mean that they are larger and not in proportion with rear wheels and will cause damage to my xDrive system, please tell me if itís safe to drive with these or should I change them. Thank you and sorry for the long post

with Front: 235/40/19 & Rear: 255/35/19, the rolling diameter difference is 1.5% so it is a no go.

If you're going for 235/40/19 front, you should go 265/35/19 on the rear.

This site will help you size your tyres. You need to keep the difference to less than 1% preferably close to 0 for Xdrive.

Did I cause any damage that I drove around 300km with those tires, I removed them today and ordered the new ones instead (factory size), Do I have to check my car if there is any problem in xDrive system or I didnt cause any harm at all. thanks

I'm not familiar with the Xdrive system but I don't think a 1.5% difference over 300 miles will damage the Xdrive transfer case.
