Looking to make a purchase on used 328i/335i sportline, need price advice (Canada)
Hey guys,
apologize in advance if this isn't the right forum to do this in - I'm a newb. I got a new job in the horizon and I'm searching to make a purchase on a 2012/2013 model 328i/335i and seeing what your advice is on what decent pricing is. I've looked through forums to get an idea but they are a bit dated. I have a few cars in mind, trying to gauge your guys idea on what a good deal is. There is this one http://www.autotrader.ca/a/BMW/3+Ser...&orup=9_100_16 (apparently they've done 2300 in repairs/maintenance, new brakes, and two new front tires) Then there is this http://www.autotrader.ca/a/BMW/3+Ser...orup=10_100_16 As for 335i's the ones that are closer to my price range are in around 80k km below, I'm willing to spend into the low 30's if the car is right with low km. http://www.autotrader.ca/a/BMW/3+Ser...O&orup=3_15_43 http://www.autotrader.ca/a/BMW/3+Ser...O&orup=2_15_43 I know the prices can probably be negotiated downwards - I'm kind of leaning towards the White, so I can do carbon fibre wrap on the roof - but don't mind going black on black if the price is right. My other issue is 70k+ km too much? Should I just stick to something below. Whatever your advice is please shoot. Thanks! |

Lol yes - I could do both, extended family also owns a repair shop so it would be third party.
I think on my end I'm just looking at what you guys would say is a good deal. I came across a great deal earlier for a 328i sport with 60k km for $23.5k, so I might still be chasing that deal that I missed out on - kinda curious what you guys think. |

I managed to find a CPO EBII MPPK 335ix for 39,995$ with 51,500KM I traded in my 328i for it as I could not pass up the deal. Stick to 335i, you'll regret the 328i if you're willing to spend a little bit more. |

As for power, my brother has a G35 sport and the 328i is almost equivalent, which is enough power for me. So I'm not sure I'll be regretting much over the 335 - for me its more so just finding a decent deal. May look to spend 30k on a 328i with very low km's then. |

I have an f30 328i sport line (coming from an f10 535i m sport) and it is just as quick if not quicker than my 535 with a jb4 tune. If you can get over the way the 328i sounds (diesel ish) than it is plenty enough car for the average enthusiast, plus it handles better than the 335i (much better weight distribution). Overall, I love my car and wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again
*OH ALSO, WORD OF ADVICE, PLEASE GET A CAR WITH H/K AUDIO, IT IS MILES BETTER THAN THE BASE AUDIO!!!* Last edited by TylerMcCraw; 02-29-2016 at 03:39 PM.. |

328i kind of falls in line between economical and fun, I would definitely look into a tune if I want more juice out of it. The one car I'm looking at right now has H/K audio so I'll keep this in mind Thanks!!! |

For the cars at other brands dealerships, I'd suggest confirming if they got car on trade-in or from auction. If from auction, the cars may have issues as BMW dealerships will usually keep cars that come off lease or are traded in unless the cars have other issues.
