Brandon, I too was disappointed about not having a stand alone Hid option. That being said, what kit/parts did you buy to convert the halogen to Hid...Ive been trying to find something suitable since I bought the car in Feb. Thanks in advance.

The H7R bulbs are hard to come by. I have only found them available over in Asia, nothing here in the US. You will need the H7R bulbs and ballasts. Standard stuff when ordering an HID Kit, as they are all basically the same. My car did not require any coding and so far has worked fine. I am using a basic kit, not anything high end as I just wanted to try it first to see if the HID set up works well with the reflector type of headlight. I will likely upgrade later to a high end ballast for peace of mind that they wont fail down the line |

anyone out there try the Osram H7 65w bulbs yet. rated at 2100 lumens and an H9 bulb on an H7 base. still has a yellow hue, but reportedly very, very bright and with wattage reportedly not high enough to ruin the stock wiring.

updates?
Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum and I came across this thread, I currently have halogen bulbs and want to upgrade them to 6000k bulbs. If anyone is still following this thread are there any companies I should be narrowing my vision on? My car is leased so I would like a bulb that will send no error codes and cause no strobing. Thanks in advance! |
