I guess I got lucky. Being a new bimmer owner and happening upon the topic of coding, I somehow managed to code every option I wanted, based on the options I had learned could be coded (lots). I think I am done now.

Reason for posting is, I have not messed with it (coding) for some time (couple of weeks), but keep in mind I've only had my ride for what, a couple of months?

But today, I decided to add Variable Light Distribution. I had to VO code OUT a VO (8S4) option to make it work, but, I thought that not only could I code this in w/o VO ciding, and could instead just do regular coding, it turns out that I HAD to VO code, since the FA coding targets don't exist - 2013 535 M-Sport.

It's little things like this that make all this coding so scary for us newbs. Not to mention the different title name, etc.

I wish some kind person would create a new cheat Sheet too.

Even though I think I may be done, this was not easy!

Thanks for your input. I've tried re-code again and it works. Side mirror folds after I hold slightly longer when lock with CA system.

Not that I would ever use it, but I noticed Launch Control is/was disabled and there is also no mention of it in the online manual in the car, although the paperback manual that came with the car does have the instructions.

Does BMW disable this? This is a CPO car and maybe the previous owner coded it? I doubt that to be the case though because everything was working bone stock.

Second question:

Is there a way to code the digital speedo and tach for the big round dials with 6WA instrument cluster?

My Msport vehicles have LC coded from factory so it is not disabled on on vehicles.

You can code digital speed but cannot change physical dials like 6WB.

Thanks for the reply, Almaretto. Yes, I now see that that is a 2k part. I like my 6WA but just thought it would be cool if it could be done via coding.

I saw a you tube video that said one way to know if your car had LC was to search the vehicle manual. Mine doesn't mention it, but my car is definitely M-Sport and has the 8sp SAT. Shows in my FA and also when I look up my VIN.

I guess the old lady the dealer said was the previous owner was a coder! :-)
